Policy
Effective: August 22, 2026 · Operator: Takashi Nakano
Action Potential Dynamics (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how that information is processed.
1. Data collected by the developer
The App does not transmit or collect personal information, simulation parameters or results, interaction history, usage data, diagnostics, device identifiers, location, contacts, or other user data to the developer or to a server operated by the developer.
The App has no user accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. The developer does not track, sell, share, or provide third parties with data collected from the App because no such data is collected.
2. Simulations and on-device processing
Calculations and rendering for Action Potential, Neuronal Firing Characteristics, Ion Channels, Cardiac Rhythm, Synaptic Integration, and Axon Conduction take place on your device. Entered parameters, calculated values, graphs, and time-cursor positions are not sent to the developer’s server.
The App’s core features do not require access to the microphone, camera, location, contacts, or photo library.
3. In-app purchase
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase made through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the purchase, payment information, transaction history, refunds, and purchase-status verification. The developer does not receive credit-card numbers or other payment details.
To unlock purchased functionality, the App checks verified purchase entitlements provided by Apple to your device. Apple’s privacy policy and terms apply to Apple’s handling of purchase information.
4. On-device data and deletion
Conditions and measurements saved in Pro remain only on the user’s device. Individual records can be deleted in the Experiment Log, and deleting the App removes its on-device records. CSV data leaves the App only when the user chooses Export and selects a save or sharing destination. The selected destination’s privacy policy applies to its handling of the exported file.
The App does not create user accounts or store simulation histories on a developer-operated server. App settings or purchase status managed by the device or App Store can be managed through app deletion, device settings, or Apple Account controls.
Because the developer does not collect user data from the App, there is no user data for the developer to retain or delete.
5. Children’s privacy
The App does not collect personal data to a developer-operated server from users of any age. A parent, guardian, or instructor should explain model limitations and appropriate use in a way suited to the user’s age and understanding.
6. Intended use and medical information
The App is intended for learning and visualization of electrophysiological mechanisms. Its models, including disease-related conditions, are simplified comparisons and do not reproduce an individual patient’s condition. The App is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, patient monitoring, or other clinical decisions.
Do not make health or medical decisions based solely on the App’s output. Consult a qualified healthcare professional when appropriate.
7. External links
If you follow a link from the support page or another App-related page to an external site, that site’s privacy policy applies to its handling of information.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when App functionality or applicable law changes. Material changes will be announced on this page or by another appropriate method, and the effective date will be revised.
